Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) at Jesus Christ Superstar

16 March 2017

On Saturday, we were delighted to welcome students and staff from Melbourne Indigenous Transition School (MITS) to a matinee performance of Jesus Christ Superstar.

The power of theatre combined with outstanding performances by Ivanhoe Grammar School students enthralled the MITS group, with one of the students commenting 'I'd like to come to this school.' The group were particularly impressed that the cast included Year 7 students.

After the show, the MITS group took a backstage tour where they tried on the costumes and took photos on stage with the cast, topping off a rich and rewarding theatrical experience.

We look forward to inviting MITS to join us at more Ivanhoe Grammar School activities.
